How to program the QFX jumbo remote
The REM-115 uses 4-digit codes. Type one from the guide, pick a brand-name shortcut, or let the remote hunt. Fresh AA batteries help — weak cells make programming flaky.
Enter a 4-digit code
Fastest when your brand is in the user guide.
Turn on the device you want to control.
Find the 4-digit code for that brand in the user guide.
Press and hold the matching device button (TV, DVD, SAT/CABLE, and so on) for about 3 seconds, until the light stays on.
Enter the 4-digit code. The light blinks off after each digit. If the code is accepted, the light stays off. If it flashes twice and stays on, try the next code.
Aim at the device and try Power or volume. If nothing happens, repeat with another code from that brand.
Auto code search
Use this when the listed codes do not work.
Turn on the device.
Press and hold the device button for 3 seconds until the light stays on.
Press CH+ slowly and repeatedly. Each press sends the next code.
When the device turns off (or the volume/mute reacts), stop. Press Enter, OK, or SET to save.
If you overshoot, use CH− to step backward, then save.
Brand-name search
Some brands have a one-key shortcut. After the device light stays on, press the matching number instead of a 4-digit code:
- 1 RCA
- 2 Sony
- 3 Philips
- 4 GE / Proscan
- 7 Magnavox
- 8 Panasonic / Toshiba / Sharp
- 9 Hitachi / Sanyo / LG
- 0 Mitsubishi / Sylvania / Emerson
Full brand-name map is in the user guide.
